How to Build an Indoor Waterfall Fountain
An indoor waterfall can add a relaxing element to your home decor. You can make the waterfall in one day, and you can choose from a variety of materials. Mosaic tiles, flat slate, river rocks, and glass tiles are just a few of the items you can use to create your waterfall fountain. You can add plants, pebbles, or even fish to your water if you desire.
Things You'll Need
- Plexiglas cut to the dimensions you need
- Glass tile adhesive
- Trowel
- Tile or rock
- Grout
- Float
- Sponge
- Watertight container
- Pump
- Plastic tubing
- Pebbles or large rocks

Apply tile adhesive to the Plexiglas with your trowel. Use the notched end of the trowel to form groves and place your tile or river rock on the Plexiglas in the pattern you wish. Allow the adhesive to dry according to manufacturer's instructions.

Grout the tile with your float, allow it to dry and clean off any residue with a damp sponge.

Set your Plexiglas upright in the container. Check your container to ensure it is watertight; you can use a pond liner to help.

Place your pump in the container and attach the plastic tubing. Run the tube up the back of the Plexiglas; point the end down the Plexiglas.

Fill the container with rocks or pebbles to cover the pump. Turn the pump on and make sure the water flows how you would like.

Tips & Warnings
Your water fountain can be propped against the wall, if you decide to attach it to the wall, make sure all of the pump parts are available in the event of a malfunction.
