DIY Paper Bag
Paper bags you make yourself give you the freedom to use the type of paper you choose and to add whatever accents and decoration you want. Making a do-it-yourself paper bag from leftover paper is a great recycling project to prevent waste, and allows your inner artist to emerge.
Things You'll Need
- Box the desired size of the bag Paper Scissors Tape 2 ribbons (6 inches each) (optional)
Instructions
-
-
1
Wrap a piece of paper around the box and cut it so that it completely covers the sides of the box and extends 3 inches above and below the top and bottom of the box.
-
2
Tape the edge of the paper that runs along the side of the box, leaving the two ends open.
-
-
3
Turn the box with the paper around it so that you are looking at the bottom end. Fold the edges of the paper over the bottom of the box, crease and tape to create a flat bottom for the bag.
-
4
Remove the box from the opposite end of the bag.
-
5
Fold over the top edge of the bag to create a cuff, if desired.
-
6
Tape both ends of a 6-inch ribbon to the inside of the bag, 1 inch below the top of the bag. Repeat on the other side to make a pair of handles.
