How to Download Guitar Hero Songs for Free

Numerous Guitar Hero songs can be downloaded for free.

The Guitar Hero series is a popular set of video games that allow gamers to play hundreds of songs using virtual instruments. Each Guitar Hero game comes with dozens of songs that can be played straight from the game disc. Additional songs, however, are available to download from the Guitar Hero store. These extra songs are sometimes free and can enhance the reply value of the game.

Instructions

1. Load the Guitar Hero game you want to download songs for.

2. Click on the Music Store option in the game's main menu.

3. Select the option to display all the available songs.

4. Scroll through the list of available songs and look for any marked as Free. These are the songs that are currently available to download for free.

5. Select the song that you want to download and press the download button. On some versions of Guitar Hero, this option is labeled "Purchase," even though the song is available for free. The song will immediately begin to download once the button is pressed.

Tips & Warnings

• New free songs are added to the Guitar Hero music store throughout the year, so check the store frequently for new additions.
