It is this fact, along with the company's continued reputation of quality products that has kept Scotts at the top of the garden industry for decades. Along with producing revolutionary, like Miracle Grow, the Scotts company also makes a full line of lawn care. One of their other innovations is Weed and Feed which is actually a fertilizer and a weed killer all in one. Does this Spark an idea?

- Fertilizer Spreader
- Rake
- Gardening gloves
- Shovel (optional)

Clear the lawn completely of obstructions like rocks, leaves and other debris with a rake. Use a shovel for stubborn rocks if necessary.

Use your gloves to fill the spreader with fertilizer, taking care not to pack it too tight or the spreader may not work.

Spread the Scotts Weed and Feed fertilizer over the lawn in all areas to kill and prevent weeds. Do your best to apply the product as evenly as possible.

Repeat the application often to prevent new weeds from growing. Lawns with a particularly bad case of weeds will need more frequent treatments.

Clean up the spreader to prevent any soil from caking and rendering the mechanism immovable. You should do this after every use.
