How to Build a Room Divider Screen
Room divider screens can hide messy areas of your home, or provide extra storage. They can also section off an area of a room so you can use it for a different purpose, such as an entertainment area. Building a screen is much cheaper than buying a commercially made one. Decorate your room divider screen using paints, fabrics, shelves and photos. Does this Spark an idea?

- 2 folding shutter closet doors 3 patio hinges Screws Screwdriver Paints (optional) Accessories (optional)

Align the two folding shutter closet doors. Leave enough space in between them for the patio hinges.

Attach three patio hinges by screwing the screws in with a screwdriver to connect the doors to each other. Attach one towards the top, one towards the bottom and one in the middle.

Decorate the doors to your liking with paints or with accessories. Accessories include items like shelves and photos.

Place the divider up at your desired location.

Tips & Warnings
For a three panel room divider, use three wood panels instead of the shutter doors and six patio hinges. Different patio hinges require different amounts of screws. The screw needs to fit into the screw holes of the patio hinge. Screws should not be so long that they will stick out on the other side after they are screwed in.
Do not stretch the room divider out to its maximum length. Leave it with folds for stability.
