How to Rotate Wheels on Inline Skates

The wheels on most inline skates are secured to the wheel frame by two inner locking screws. The wheels will be damaged over time and need to be rotated from one skate to the other. The wheels can be rotated up to four times rather than replacing the wheels, but the wheels will need to be replaced once the wheels have substantial damage and wear. Rotating the wheels on inline skates is quick and simple.

Instructions

    • 1

Sit in a chair that will be comfortable for you to work in. Brace the skate between your legs so that the skate wheels are facing up towards you.

    • 2

Connect one Allen wrench to the screws on a wheel on both sides of the wheel. Turn the Allen wrenches in opposite directions to remove the screw from the wheel. Pull the screw from the center of the wheel.

    • 3

Pull the wheel from the skate. Remove all other wheels from the skate the way that you just removed the first one. Once all of the wheels have been removed, install all of the wheels that where on the right skate onto the left and all of the wheels from the left skate onto the right skate.
