How to Remove a Drain Plug From the Bathtub

Your bathtub has a drain plug that can be removed.

If you have a house with a bathtub, certain problems might come up. Some of these problems include having a clogged drain or needing to remove and replace the drain altogether. When you find yourself in these types of situations, one of the first things you'll need to do is remove the drain plug. In most cases, the drain plug should lift out easily.

Instructions

1. Grip the drain plug firmly between your thumb and index finger.

2. Lift the drain plug away from the tub. You may need to apply some force.

3. Unscrew the drain plug from the drain crosspiece by hand. This will allow you to lift it off completely and get it out of your way.
