How to Clean Oil-Rubbed Bronze Faucets
Oil-rubbed bronze faucets are valued for their antique appearance. This faucet finish is considered a "living" finish because no two faucets will look exactly alike and because they change appearance with use. These faucets hide stains well, due to their darker color, but they do require care. Cleaning oil-rubbed bronze is unique--in most cases standard commercial cleaners are neither necessary nor recommended, according to Cal Faucets. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
Oil-rubbed bronze, like all living finishes, will change colors in different areas, depending on use--this is a natural occurrence and doesn’t mean the product is defective, according to Shop 4 Classics. When cleaning these faucets, do not be concerned about color change--this “character” is one reason some people enjoy this type of finish.
If you get soap, toothpaste or other material on your faucet, rinse it well with warm water and dry it with a towel.
