Homemade Temporary Tattoos
If you like the idea of getting a tattoo but you're not sure about the permanence and pain involved, try making temporary tattoos at home. Making temporary tattoos gives you the ability to try a variety of different tattoo styles without committing to permanent skin ink. Things You'll Need
- Deskjet printer
- Tattoo transfer printer paper
- Scissors
- Stencils
- Fine-tipped paintbrush
- Assorted jarred inks

Printer Tattoos

Place a sheet of transfer printer paper into your printer's paper cartridge. Make sure the film-covered side of the paper is facing downward so it prints properly.

Open up the design of your choice on your computer and select the print preview option on the image.

Resize and center the image so that it prints as you want it to appear on the paper.

Print the image out on the transfer paper.

Cut the image out of the paper and apply it by placing the sticky side on your skin and wetting the back of it with a wet rag.
Hand-Painted Tattoo

Place a stencil of your choice on the area of skin on which you want the tattoo.

Dip the tip of the paintbrush into the color of ink you want.

Spread a layer of the ink over the opened spaces of the stencil you have chosen, allowing it to color your skin.

Let the area of your skin dry before applying another coat of the ink through the stenciled design.

Remove the stencil and let the area dry for 15 minutes before touching it to anything. The temporary tattoo washes off with soap and warm water.
