Instructions

    • 1

Put on regular household rubber gloves and remove all particles from the sink drain, especially any leftover food or glass shards that may have been crushed by a garbage disposal. Be sure the disposal is turned off before placing your hands into the sink.

    • 2

Place a wet cloth over the sink drain. Do not let it fall into the drain. Spread the cloth open so that it catches all the grease.

    • 3

Place a plunger directly over the cloth. Begin plunging the sink by using an up-and-down motion, and continue plunging until the leftover grease has been pulled up from the underlying pipe.

    • 4

Remove the plunger and the greased cloth. Turn on the faucet and allow hot water to flow into the pipe. The hot water will melt the remaining grease and allow for a smooth-running drain.
