The easiest way to transfer money from Spain to the United Kingdom (U.K.) is by using a company such as PayPal or MoneyBookers. These services transfer money from your bank account to the recipient’s bank account over the Internet. If you don’t want to involve banks, then you can send the money in cash through a company like Western Union or MoneyGram.

Go to the MoneyBooker or Paypal website.

Register with the website. Click the “Sign Up” button and provide your personal and bank account information. Once you’re done, click “Submit.”

Transfer money to the recipient in the U.K. Go to the link “Send Money” and enter the recipient’s email address. Also, specify the amount to be transferred along with the currency that you want. You can choose Euros or Pounds. Once you’ve filled out the sending form, click on “Continue” or “Send.” The money will then be delivered to the recipient.

Go to MoneyGram or Western Union website. On the website, click the “Find Us” or "Find an Agent” button. Select your country from the drop-down list (Spain). Enter your full address for locating a company agent in the area.

Visit the company’s agent office in Spain. You will be required to take along your passport or driver’s license. Take the money that you want to transfer to the U.K. in addition to the amount of the fee charged (see Resources to calculate fees).

Complete the form that the agent gives you. This form will ask for information, such as recipient’s name and contact details. Upon completing the form, give it back to the agent. Also, pay the amount to be transferred to the U.K. and the fee charged. The agent will then give you a reference number, called a Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN).

Contact the recipient with the MTCN. Advise the recipient to locate an agent of the transfer service in the U.K. from the company website. The reference number will have to be used for receiving the funds.
