  1. Stove Top Cleaning

    • 1

      Dampen a paper towel with warm water. If the stove top is extremely dirty, dampen a non-abrasive scrubbing sponge with warm water and 1 tsp. dish soap.

      Wipe the stove top with the damp paper towel or sponge to remove any loose food or residue. If you're using the soapy sponge, rinse the stove with a clean, wet paper towel.

      Apply a dime-sized amount of cooktop cleaner to a damp paper towel.

      Clean the stovetop with the paper towel, making sure to cover the whole cooktop.

      Dampen a paper towel and wipe over the stove top to rinse the excess cleaning cream.

      Dry the stove top with a paper towel.

    Self-Cleaning the Oven

      Remove the broiler pan, grates, racks, or any other items from the stove and oven. Set them aside.

      Dampen a paper towel and wipe inside of the door edge and the inside edge of the oven. Don't wipe over the gasket.

      Close the oven door and press "Self Clean" on the control panel.

      Press the "More" or "Less" arrow pads under "Temp/Hour" to choose the cleaning time. Choose the lower setting for a lightly soiled oven and the higher setting for a heavily soiled oven.

      Press "Start" to begin the cleaning cycle. The oven will lock and display the "Clean" and "Door Locked" lights.

      Open the oven door when the cycle completes. The indicator lights shut off and the door unlocks when the cleaning cycle completes.

      Dampen a cloth and wipe out the ashes from inside the oven. Rinse it and wipe again until all of the ashes are removed.

      Clean the oven racks with a sponge dampened with hot water and dish soap. Rinse them thoroughly and dry them with a paper towel.

      Put the oven racks, grates and any other items back into their places.
