on 10/18/2009 it would also be wise to teach the dog or puppy to sit when you stop walking but to stand up when a stranger approaches and also to sit and stay when you go into a building if training them to walk without a leash in the city.

on 7/23/2009 I have three dogs who are very sweet, but two are poorly leash-trained. My fault, not the dogs! I'll have to try this technique.

on 6/15/2009 nice article, but I have a small mixed breed, I would not want her to become overweight. usually, I say nice things to her and occassionally will give her a treat.
