How to Get a Private Investigator's License in Oklahoma
In Oklahoma, private investigators must complete required training classes and apply for a license through the state. The Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training issues private investigator licenses in Oklahoma. The council divides those applying for licensure into two categories: unarmed private investigators and armed private investigators. Applicants for an armed private investigator license are required to take more classes than their unarmed colleagues before receiving their initial license.
