How to Make a Wheel Out of Toothpicks
Toothpicks can not only be used to remove food from teeth, but can also serve as an inexpensive and versatile craft material. With simple toothpicks, any number of craft projects can be constructed, including wheels. To effectively make a simple wheel out of toothpicks, it is important to follow a series of steps that will ensure that the wheel will be able to move properly and remain in tack.

Squeeze a small dollop of hot glue onto a piece of waxed paper.

Stick the ends of eight toothpicks into the hot glue like spokes. Space the toothpicks out evenly.

Allow the hot glue to cool completely.

Pull the toothpick structure away from the hot glue. Discard the used waxed paper.

Cut four toothpicks in half, effectively creating eight smaller toothpick sections.

Apply a small dollop of hot glue onto each end of the toothpick spokes.

Place each of the smaller toothpick sectios onto the hot glue, effectively placing each between two spokes to form the rim of the wheel.

Allow the hot glue to cool completely before using your toothpick wheel in a craft creation.
