How to Clean Real Leather
Real leather is used to create a variety of products, from shoes to furniture. When you purchase an item made of real leather, you understand the high price that is associated with this high quality material. To protect your investment, you must clean the leather regularly, and with the correct cleaning tools to keep the leather in its best possible condition. By mixing a solution that both cleans and moisturizes, you keep the leather looking brand new with little effort. Does this Spark an idea?

Pour a cleaning solution into a bowl, using two parts linseed oil to one part white vinegar.

Pick up the bowl and gently agitate it to mix the vinegar and linseed oil.

Swish a cleaning rag in the cleaning mixture, and gently pull the rag out of the solution.

Wring out the cloth over top of the bowl to squeeze excess cleaning solution back into the bowl.

Open the cleaning rag, and wipe over the leather surface in large circular motions. Continue until all leather is covered with a very thin layer of cleaning solution.

Wipe over the real leather once more in the morning to remove the excess cleaner that was previously left behind. Not only will this disinfect and remove residue from the leather, but the oil also moisturizes.
