How to Clean Bronze Jewelry

Bronze jewelry tarnishes fairly easily. Even if your bronzed jewelry needs to be cleaned, you may avoid doing so in fear that you will ruin it. Cleaning bronze jewelry may be easier than you think.   • Silver polishing cloths
  • Mild detergent
  • Water

    • 1

      Wipe the bronze jewelry with a silver polishing cloth.

    • 2

      Place 2 to 3 drops of mild detergent onto the bronze jewelry.

    • 3

      Rub the detergent all over the jewelry with your fingers.

    • 4

      Hold the jewelry under running water to rinse the soap off.

    • 5

      Gently wipe the water off of the bronze jewelry with a clean and dry silver polishing cloth.

Tips & Warnings

  • Avoid wearing jewelry in a sauna or while swimming in a chlorinated pool to keep it from tarnishing more quickly.
