How to Install Cars in GTA Vice City

If you ever get tired of hijacking the same cars over and over again in "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City," you can download and install new, customized cars to your game. Cars aren't the only thing you can download, though: you can choose from a variety of bikes, boats, helicopters and even planes--to install to your game. Unfortunately, you'll have to replace existing files with the customized vehicles, but you can always make backups to undo the installation.

Choose the "Install a Custom Vehicle into Vice City" option and click the "Next" button. You'll be presented with two options on the next page: one will use a ZIP or RAR file to extract and install the car to your game, and the other will use a folder. Most cars come as ZIP or RAR files, but some will download to your computer as a folder with the necessary files. Choose the appropriate option for the car you want to install and click "Next."

Enter the directory where your GTA: Vice City game is installed, and the directory where the RAR or ZIP file (or car folder) is saved. Click the ellipses buttons next to the respective fields to browse for these directories. Once you've found the appropriate directory or file, double click it to automatically fill in the fields. Click the "Next" button.

Choose a car in your current game to replace with the new, custom car and click the "Next" button. The program will work for a few moments and you'll be presented with a prompt. Click the "Yes" button to continue the installation process. A new prompt window will appear asking you to name the new car. Enter anything you'd like and click the "Next" button.

Choose the language file to change. The default is English, so you can just click "Next" and click "Next" again to skip the following screen. There will be a few fields with lots of text in them: do not change anything in them. You'll be asked if you want to back up the files being replaced. Click the "Yes" button. You may see another prompt indicating that the backup directory already exists. Click "Yes" again to proceed. Two more prompts will appear telling you about the progress being made with the install. Press "OK" for both prompts and the install will finish automatically. Close the program and run the game to start playing with your new cars.
