A good latex paint brush is worth the investment. The bristles keep their form, they are easy to work with and the edges they create are crisp. The extra money you pay for a better brush will go to waste, though, if you do not take proper care of it. This means keeping the brush wet while working, and not letting it dry out, which you can do by just wrapping the loaded brush in a plastic bag when you are idle.
