How to Remove Meeting Invitations
Microsoft Outlook is an ideal time-management tool for the business professional. Outlook allows the user to keep track of his emails, notes, journal and meeting calendar. With Microsoft Outlook, you can receive a meeting request, accept it and the meeting will automatically appear in your calendar. If your meetings overlap or other circumstances require you to cancel one, there is a way to remove the invitations from your Outlook calendar.

Open your Microsoft Outlook icon, then open “Calendar.” Microsoft Outlook opens to your email by default. Therefore, you will need to manually switch to calendar mode.

Click “View” at the top of your menu bar. Go to “Current View,” then “All Appointments.” This will bring up all of the appointments on your calendar. Another method is to click “View” at the top of your menu bar. Go to “Current View,” then “Day/Week/Month.” This view will bring up your calendar of the current month.

Double-click the unwanted meeting invitation and a new screen will appear. Under the “Actions” menu, select “Cancel Meeting.” Select “Send Cancellation and Delete Meeting.” This will remove the meeting from your Outlook calendar and the calendar of your attendees.

Remove the meeting from your calendar if you are not the meeting organizer. Go to “Actions” and select “Reply to All with Message.” Type your reason for not attending the meeting and click “Send.”

You also may double-click the unwanted meeting and hit “Delete” on your keyboard.
