How to Install Bink Video for Empire Earth 3

Bink Video is a video player that is included in many computer game installations, including Empire Earth 3. If for some reason the appropriate files did not install correctly with Empire Earth 3, you can download the Bink player (among other useful tools) appropriate for your operating system directly from their website. Reinstalling Empire Earth 3 is another option as well, but that process takes much longer, requires you to back up your saved games and profiles and you'll need to repatch the game as well. On top of that, it still may not correctly install the Bink video player.

Instructions

1. Navigate to the Bink downloads page (see References).

2. Click on the version appropriate to your operating system. The link to each is clearly described.

3. Save the file to your hard drive (the system will prompt you as to where).

4. Open the file you downloaded to start the install process. Follow the onscreen instructions. Once installation has finished, any video files in Empire Earth 3 should now play correctly.
