How to Install PC800 RDRAM for a Dimension 8200 Series Dell
The Dimension 8200 desktop computer from Dell uses PC800 RDRAM for computer memory. If you wish, you can install more computer memory than is included in the computer by default. Be sure that you are comfortable working with your computer before installing RAM, since it requires moderate hardware expertise.

Shut down the computer and unplug it from the power outlet.

Rotate the computer onto its side and then open the case by depressing the large buttons at the back of the case while pulling on the side of the case itself.

Remove the currently installed RAM modules (if necessary) by pressing down the plastic tabs on either end of them and then lifting the modules out of the computer.

Install your new PC800 RDRAM into the computer by pressing it into the memory slots until the plastic tabs pop up and hold the RAM in place.

Close the computer case securely, turn the computer upright and plug it in. It is now ready for use.
