How to Draw an H2 Hummer
The Hummer H2 is a shorter, modern take on the Hummer H1. The Hummer H1 was a typical military transport vehicle while the H2 is a sports utility vehicle (SUV) used by everyday people. Both vehicles are boxy, simply shaped cars that are easy to draw, even by those who are just starting to learn how to draw.
Instructions
-
-
1
Draw a trapezoid-like windshield onto a blank sheet of drawing paper. Use a pencil to make the drawing in case you want to make changes.
-
2
Draw a small line coming up from the right of the windshield and then out away from the windshield toward the right about 6 inches.
-
-
3
Draw a line coming down from the back of the line that comes away from the windshield, down about 3 inches. You should now have a windshield with an "L" shape coming away from it. The L shape will be the body of the Hummer.
-
4
Draw a hood below the windshield, the hood should be a little rounded since the Hummer H2 has a bit of a rounded snout look to the front of it.
-
5
Draw a rectangle directly below the hood. This will be the grill of the car and therefore has to be as long as the hood and about 1-inch wide.
-
6
Draw a small square at either end of the grill and then fill the space between the grill with dark, thick rectangles.
-
7
Draw an upside down trapezoid below the grill for the front bumper of the Hummer H2.
-
8
Draw an elliptical object toward the back of the L shaped body of the car, and then another, slightly larger elliptical object towards the front, closer to the front bumper. Each should be about 1/2-inch away from the back or front of the car. These will be the wheels of the car.
-
9
Draw a box around the top of each wheel. The box should look more like the top of a pentagon than a square. These will be the wheel wells.
-
10
Connect the two wheel wells with a straight line and then connect them with the front and back of the car with a slanted line.
-
11
Draw a rectangle at the center of the hood for the Hummer’s air intake and then draw three squares across the top of the side of the car body.
-
12
Draw three lines coming down across the side of the car body, in between each square. The squares represent the windows of the car, and the lines represent the doors.
