      Wipe dust from plantation blinds with a lint-free cloth. Run a damp rag over the front and back of each slat. Dry the slats with a lint-free cloth.

      Attach an upholstery attachment to the vacuum. Run the attachment over each slat of the plantation blinds. Turn or reverse the shutters so you can vacuum the underside of the slats.

      Spray furniture polish onto a lint-free cloth, and glide the cloth over the slats of the plantation blinds if the blinds are stained wood. The furniture polish adds a protective barrier against stains, and shines the surface of the slats.
