How to Make Angel Eyes for Cars thumbnail
Angel eyes can be created out of yarn and hung in your car as a sacred symbol.

Angel's eyes, often referred to as Ojo de Dios, are spiritual symbols created to represent the eye of an angel or God watching over you and your loved ones. Although many angel eyes are created to place onto walls in a home, they can also be created to hang in a car for added protection as you drive. To make an angel eye for your car, it is important to follow a few simple steps.

Instructions

    • 1

Place two Popsicle sticks on top of each other in a perpendicular manner.

    • 2

Wrap yarn back and forth diagonally around the middle of the perpendicular sticks. After a few turns around the center, the sticks should remain together.

    • 3

Hold the Popsicle sticks in your left hand and wrap yarn all the way around one of the sticks.

    • 4

Turn the Popsicle sticks clockwise in your hand and wrap the yarn all the way around the next stick.

    • 5

Continue to turn and wrap the sticks in this manner until you have added about 1/2 inch of weaving.

    • 6

To add a new color, tie new yarn onto the end of the first yarn and continue to wrap it around the sticks in the same manner as before.

    • 7

When the angel eye is finished, cut the end of the yarn and tie it onto the woven yarn.

    • 8

Tie a piece of yarn around the end of one of the sticks. You can use the other end of this yarn to hang the angel eye up on the rear view mirror of your car.
