1
Clear your work space so that you have enough room to set out your supplies and design. A bead divider container can help keep your beads organized and easy to reach. Make sure your pliers and wire are also within arms-length. Having your items close to you prevents accidents like dropping your beads or partially finished jewelry piece.
-
2
Lay out your beads in the design you'd like them to be on your finished piece. Doing this prevents mistakes and do overs.

3
Cut a piece of wire or beading string one inch longer than you want it to be when it is finished.Attach one end of the closure clasp. Run the wire or string through the hole and tie a sturdy knot in it. If you are using a stiff wire, use your jewelry pliers to wrap the wire around the closure.
-
4
Begin putting your beads from your design onto the wire or string. Start backwards and work forwards if your design is asymmetrical. Symmetrical designs can be beaded from either side of the design.
-
5
Take the second end of the closure and thread it through the wire or string. Tie a sturdy knot that is as close to the final bead as possible. If you are using a heavy gage wire you can use the pliers to wrap the wire around the closure.
-
6
Cut off any extra pieces of wire or string at the end of each closure.
