How to Convert a PDF to a Word File on a Mac for Free
Developed by Adobe Systems, the Portable Document Format (PDF) lets document creators distribute non-editable files across a wide range of operating systems. If you need to make changes to a PDF file and do not have the source document used to create it, one option is to convert the file into Microsoft Word format. Unfortunately, the two tools most commonly used to convert PDF documents on Mac OS X--Adobe Acrobat and PDF2Office--are commercial applications. Work around this limitation by using one of several free, Web-based utilities to perform the task.
