How to Make a DVD From a Digital Camera
Many digital cameras have the ability to take video as well as still pictures. Some cameras can even take high-definition video, making your vacation videos look crisp and clear on your HDTV. If you would like to move your videos from your digital camera's memory card to a DVD, you'll first need to import the video to your computer and then burn it to a DVD.

Connect your camera to your computer. If you have a USB cable for your camera, connect your camera that way. You may need to place your camera in playback mode in order for it to be recognized.

Open your video editing software on your computer. If you have a Windows-based computer, you should have Windows Movie Maker already installed. If you have a Mac, you'll need to use iMovie. Feel free to use any other video editing software that you may have.

Click the “File” button and select the “Capture” or “Import” option, depending on which editing software you're using.

Select your camera as the "capture from" device, choose your settings, and import the video.

Edit your footage if you wish. Use your editing software to move scenes around, or to add music, titles or transitions.

Select “Save to a DVD” to burn your video to a DVD. If you're using a Mac, you'll need to select “iDVD” from the “Share” menu. Make sure that you have a DVD inserted into your DVD burner. Your video will then be saved to a DVD.
