How to Perform Burpees
Although the name sounds silly, burpees are not a joke. Burpees are an intense, explosive cardiovascular exercise. They require no equipment but work your entire body while challenging your cardiorespiratory system. If you have ever taken a bootcamp workout you have probably performed a burpee. They are popular in athletic training workouts and intense conditioning classes. When you cannot make it to the gym, add a few sets of burpees to your day and you will achieve a full body workout.

Tips & Warnings
Start with a few repetitions and work your way up to 10 or more.
As it gets easier, add an explosive jump-up to the end of the move, instead of just a light jump to standing position.
Increase the speed of the entire exercise as it gets easier.
If it is too difficult at first, skip the push-up. When you land in the push-up position jump back in without the push-up.
If you have bad knees or wrists or a heart condition, seek clearance from a medical professional first.
