Instructions

    • 1

Apply heat to the glue in order to soften it. Boil a pot of water and pour it slowly over the exposed adhesive. Start with a manageable section of the floor, and allow the water to set for 10 to 15 minutes

    • 2

Scrape off the majority of the loose glue using a long-handled scraper for convenience. This tool makes it unnecessary to bend or crouch during the tedious process of removing the adhesive.

    • 3

Ventilate your work site and prepare an adhesive remover to dissolve the remainder of the glue. Apply it to the stubborn traces, according to the manufacturer's instructions, then allow it to soak for the recommended waiting period.

    • 4

Lift the residue with the scraper once again. Once it has been removed entirely, clear the floor with a push broom and dispose of the waste in garbage bags.

    • 5

Mop the floor with a mild household detergent for thorough cleaning. Place an electric fan in the room or allow the surface to air dry.
