How to Refill an L50 Toner Cartridge

Instructions

    • 1

Plug the soldering iron into a power outlet. Before you start using it, wait for at least three minutes.

    • 2

Place the copper bit of the soldering iron right next to the “Canon L50 Cartridge” label. You have to make the hole on the right side of the label.

    • 3

Push the copper bit gently so it penetrates inside the cartridge’s plastic to make a hole.

    • 4

Remove the soldering iron and put it back on its stand. You can unplug it now.

If you have accidentally let the melted plastic piece fall into the cartridge, you must remove it; otherwise, the cartridge can be damaged.

    • 5

Dispose remnants of the original toner in the cartridge. For best results, use a vacuum.

    • 6

Turn the toner bottle upside down and gently tap it on a flat surface for loosening the toner.

    • 7

Remove the bottle’s cap and pull off the seal.

    • 8

Attach the funnel cap on the bottle’s mouth.

    • 9

Slightly tilt the funnel cap towards the hole you just created in the cartridge. Now insert the funnel cap into the hole.

    • 10

Remove the toner bottle when the cartridge is full. Close the cap and keep it aside.

    • 11

Use a plug, duct tape or electrical tape to seal the hole.

    • 12

Shake the toner cartridge slowly for approximately five to ten seconds. Your cartridge will then be ready for use.
