How to Play BIN Files on a PS2

Save

The Sony PlayStation 2 is one of the most successful video game consoles in history. Although it was launched 10 years ago, new games are still being released. One of the best ways to utilize your PS2's capabilities is to install games onto the hard drive in the "BIN" format. Using HDLoader, the only PS2 program that allows you to do this, you can cut your load times in half and you never have to risk scratching your PS2 games.

Things You'll Need

  • HDLoader
  • PS2 game
  • Turn on your Sony PS2 and insert the HDLoader disk into the PS2 disk drive. The program will start.

  • Select "Install" from the HDLoader main menu and your disk drive will open. Remove the HDLoader disk and insert your PS2 game into the drive. Close the drive.

  • Select "Yes" when asked if you want to install the PS2 game to the PS2 hard drive. Wait as the PS2 game is ripped to the PS2 hard drive and saved in the "BIN" format.

  • Remove the PS2 disk when the install completes and reinsert the HDLoader disk into the PS2. Select "Play" from the HDLoader main menu.

  • Select your game that you have just installed. The game will start.
