How to Dump Old Computers
Computers and electronics are not like other items that we can just throw in the garbage can. Computers, like many electronics, contain heavy metals that pose environmental hazards when disposed of improperly. We must discard our old computers safely and without harming the environment. Choose one of the following methods to dispose of your old computer.

Some companies such as Dell, Apple and Acer have begun offering recycling programs. Check the manufacturers' website for any offers, but be sure to read all of the details regarding the program before using it.
