JVC Head Cleaning

Ensure your JVC VCR works properly by cleaning the video heads.

Your JVC VCR is equipped with video heads. The video heads are responsible for reading the images on the tape cassette. The video heads will become dirty and dusty over time and need to be cleaned. You can clean the video heads without taking the entire unit apart using a head-cleaning cassette. The head-cleaning cassette can be purchased anywhere VCRs are sold. The head-cleaning cassette will ensure quality video output and keep your unit running properly.

• Head-cleaning cassette

Instructions

1. Turn on the JVC VCR and your television.

2. Insert the head-cleaning cassette into the JVC VCR. Press the “Play” button on the VCR.

3. Allow the cassette to clean the VCR heads. When prompted, remove the head-cleaning cassette by pressing the “Eject” button. A message will appear on your television when the cleaning is complete. Repeat this process anytime cleaning is needed.
