How to Cut Bamboo Blinds That Are Too Wide
Bamboo blinds are environmentally friendly since bamboo grows quickly and is a renewable grass. These blinds have earthy tones that coordinate with almost any home decor. Whether you ordered the incorrect size or are moving the blinds to another window, you may need to cut the width on the blinds. This must be done carefully so you do not fray the delicate blinds. Push down and fold painter's tape on the side edges of the bamboo blinds.This will help prevent the edges from splintering when they're cut.

Hand roll the blinds all the way to the head rail or bar at the top of the blinds. Make sure you keep the edges even so your cuts are not crooked.

Place tape on the center of the roll to keep the blinds from moving.

Use a tape measure to determine where you need to cut the blinds. Mark the place with a pen and make sure you cut an equal amount off both sides so the blinds hang evenly.

Cut the width off the blinds with the table saw, using the marks you drew as a guide. A table saw will support the blinds when cutting.

Tips & Warnings
If you do not have a table saw, a circular or hand saw can complete the job. You may need a helper to hold the blinds while sawing to ensure you cut straight.
