How to Refill a Brother Toner Cartridge TN250

Printer and copy-machine manufacturer Brother makes some of the most commonly used machines of their type in both homes and offices. The TN-250 cartridge is used in a number of the company's laser printers including Brother DCP-1000, IntelliFax 2800, IntelliFax 2900, IntelliFax 3800, MFC-4800, MFC-4800 and MFC-6800. Refilling the cartridge is very simple.

Things You'll Need

• Toner bottle
• Funnel cap

Instructions

1. Lift the black plastic tab with your thumb so it unlocks itself from the cartridge body.

2. Rotate the entire tab towards you until the toner filling port is visible.

3. Turn the toner bottle upside down and gently tap it against a table. This is necessary for loosening the thickened toner in the bottle.

4. Remove the bottle's cap, pull off its seal and attach a funnel cap tightly on its mouth.

5. Tilt the bottle towards the filling port of the cartridge and insert the funnel cap into the port.

6. Remove the bottle when the cartridge is full.

7. Twist the black plastic tab to lock it back in place.
