How to Fly a Falcon 40 RC Helicopter
If you want to get your Falcon 40 off the ground, consider learning the rules of flight before actually taking the chopper for a spin. Understanding the mechanics of helicopter flight will help you master it at a quicker pace, while minimizing any risk of accident or injury.

1
Turn on the helicopter and place it onto a flat surface in a wide-open area. Turn on the transmitter and test the connection by gently raising the throttle until the rotors start to rotate.
-
2
Raise the left joystick to 75 percent full throttle, and watch as the helicopter gains altitude. Ease up on the throttle by lowering the joystick. Adjust the power until the vehicle maintains a balanced hover a few feet from the ground.

3
Adjust the trim to gradually straighten the helicopter. If it is rotating clockwise, move the trim adjuster to the left. If it spins counterclockwise, move the trim slide to the right. The trim adjuster is located beneath the right joystick, which is intended for steering the device.
-
4
Use the left joystick to gain or decrease altitude. Use the right joystick to steer the helicopter. Make turns by gradually moving the steering joystick left or right.

Tips & Warnings
Steering is easiest when taking wide turns. Sharp turns are more difficult, and they may result in the helicopter losing lift.
Practice maintaining absolute control as you fly the helicopter in all directions.
Do not decrease altitude too rapidly, as this will cause the aircraft to crash.
