How to Make a Cross With Silk Flowers
A floral cross is an arrangement of flowers in the shape of a cross.The cross can be used to signify Christ in a funeral service or deployment of a loved one. The most popular arrangements for the floral cross are carnations, roses, chrysanthemums and daisies, and the preferred colors are white, red, blue and pink. You can personalize your floral cross with silk flowers and foam to maintain the life of your cross.
Things You'll Need
- Styrofoam cross form
- Flowers of choice
- Saw
- Knife
- Indoor/outdoor ribbon
- Hot glue gun
- Hot glue sticks
- Easel stand
- Acrylic sealant spray (clear)

Decide on the shape and size of your cross. Draw the template of your cross on the foam and cut it out with a saw or knife.

Remove the flower heads from the stems of your silk flowers. Pre-arrange the flower heads on the foam cross. Make any adjustments as needed.

Heat the hot glue gun. Using your glue gun, place a small dab of glue at the bottom of the flower head. Firmly, press the flower head onto the foam. Hold it in place for 30 seconds before releasing.

Cut and glue the ribbon to the perimeter of the foam cross. Add any additional decorations to the cross. Spray the acrylic sealant on the entire silk floral cross. Allow the cross to dry.

Attach your cross to the easel. Now your silk floral cross is ready for display in honor of your loved one.
