How to Fix My SBC DSL Internet
SBC (know AT&T) is a DSL Internet provider that allows you to navigate the web at speeds far outreaching that of a dial-up Internet connection. A DSL Internet connection is similar ti a dial-up in that it uses a wired cable running into the computer through a modem. However, if your Internet is not functioning properly, you must troubleshoot the SBC DSL Internet connection if you want to continue accessing the Internet at high speeds.

1
Look over the Ethernet cable running into your computer. This not only needs to be completely connected into the Ethernet port on the computer but into one of the "Out" ports on the Internet modem.
-
2
Restart the computer. If the computer did not detect your modem when you powered it on, a simple restart often corrects the issue.

3
Run an anti-virus scan. A virus may be running on the computer, preventing the Internet browser from launching. Once the scan has finished delete all threats the programming detects. If you do not currently have an anti-virus program installed, you may download one for from CNET.com.

4
Download and install the AT&T self supporter tool (link provided in "Resources"). This program once installed scans the computer for issues preventing the system from connecting to the Internet. Once the scans have finished, the program downloads any necessary fix to correct the issue.
