A Tutorial on RSS Ticker
RSS Ticker is an add-on, also called an extension, for the Mozilla Firefox Web browser. Using RSS Ticker, you can keep track of new items that come from the RSS feeds you provide. The new items, which are usually blog posts or other updates, scroll across the bottom of your Firefox browser much like a stock ticker. If you're new to using RSS Ticker, there are a few steps you can take to learn how to use the extension and get the most from it.

1
Add feeds to your RSS Ticker by right-clicking the ticker (located at the bottom of your browser) and selecting "Options." Navigate to the "Feeds" tab and click the "Add" button to enter an RSS feed.
-
2
Change the location of the ticker in the Options menu. By default, the ticker is placed at the bottom of your browser. Right-click the ticker and select "Options," then change the location under "Ticker Placement." You can either keep RSS Ticker at the bottom of your browser or move it right below your Bookmarks Bar.

Adjust ticker speed and other features by right-clicking RSS Ticker and choosing "Options." Move to the "Advanced" tab and move the bar under "Ticker Speed" between "Slower" and "Faster" until you're satisfied. Under the "Advanced" tab, you can also adjust how often your feeds are updated, how smooth the ticker's scrolling is and more.

4
Hover over an RSS item with your mouse to stop the ticker and display a summary of the item. This can be helpful in determining whether or not you'd like to read the story or not.
