How to Put Video Games Onto Blank DVDs
Video games stored on your computer can be subject to viruses, accidental deletion and other possible miscues. As a result you may want to create backup copies of your video games for storage. Blank writable DVDs contain larger storage space than CDs, which may be ideal for your video game sizes. You must create a disk image of the video game’s CD or complete folder to burn it onto a blank DVD.

1
Install a disk DVD writer program that creates disk images if you have not already done so. These programs create new files containing the exact, unchanged contents of an original disc or folder. Consider Nero Burning ROM or ImgBurn if you do not already have a disk image-enabled DVD writer program. Unlike Nero, ImgBurn is freeware.

2
Launch the DVD writer program. Select the “Image Recorder” function and choose your video game’s disc or folder, which loads it into the utility’s burn list.

3
Click the “Burn” button from the DVD writer program’s “Image Recorder” function tab to create a new disk image.

4
Select your disc recorder function in the DVD writer program.
-
5
Remove the video game’s disc from the DVD writer drive, if applicable. Insert the blank writable DVD into your computer’s DVD writer drive.

Load the disk image into the burn queue. Click the “Burn” button to burn the video game’s disk image onto the DVD. Doing so will allow you to use the DVD to install or play the game, depending on the original function of the copied disc or folder.
