How to Clean Liquid Silver
Liquid silver is a term used to describe jewelry that is made of tiny silver beads. The beads shine and link together closely so that they end up looking like liquid silver. Silver jewelry tarnishes and fades because of body chemistry. People who perspire transfer acid from their perspiration to the jewelry they are wearing. This causes corrosion, and the shine in the jewelry starts to fade. Liquid silver has a tendency to darken and lose its luster over time. Fortunately, with proper care and cleaning, you can restore the brilliance of liquid silver quickly and easily. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Buy a silver cleaning cloth. You have a choice between disposable or reusable. Both work equally well, although be sure that you get the one that feels the softest. This is so you avoid rubbing something abrasive on your jewelry.
-
2
Lightly rub your jewelry using a soft cloth. Work your way from one bead to the next, ensuring you get all of the silver cleaned properly. Rub in straight lines, with a back-and-forth motion, rather than in a circular motion. Rubbing in straight lines will prevent further smudges.

Rub the liquid silver in a back-and-forth motion using the moistened cloth. Reapply the silver polish and continue to rub the jewelry until it is completely clean.

Tips & Warnings
For lightly tarnished silver jewelry, use a bit of baking powder if you do not have silver polish. Rub the jewelry using a soft cloth and baking powder in a back-and-forth motion.
Rinse your silver jewelry quickly after every use and be sure to dry it properly. Store the jewelry in a cool, dry, airtight container.
Do not confuse baking soda for baking powder. Baking soda will ruin your jewelry because it is too abrasive.
