Making Halloween Picture Frames for Kids
Easy crafts for young kids can be hard to find, especially those with a Halloween theme. You can make simple Halloween picture frames with your kids with some simple craft materials and a bit of creativity. Take some pictures of your kids in their Halloween costumes as soon as possible, well before Halloween, so that the pictures can be developed and in the homemade frames well before trick or treating time.
Instructions
-
-
1
Place two jumbo craft sticks parallel to each other, one above the other.
-
2
Put a dab of glue onto each end of the two craft sticks.
-
-
3
Place the other two craft sticks parallel to each other vertically so that their ends are on the dabs of glue. This should form a square shape. Allow the glue to dry for at least half an hour.
-
4
Paint the picture frame in whatever color you prefer. Allow the paint to dry as per the instructions on the paint bottle.
-
5
Decorate the painted frame with Halloween stickers. Toddlers and young preschoolers may want to stick the stickers on randomly, but you can encourage older preschoolers to make a pattern with the stickers.
-
6
Glue a picture of the kid wearing a Halloween costume into the picture frame. To do this, line the back of the frame with glue and press the picture onto it, picture-side down. Allow the glue to dry.

Tips & Warnings
Kids can also attach basic craft items, such as ribbons, sequins and buttons, to further decorate their frames.
You may want to use orange paint (or orange and black) to make the frame look more Halloween-oriented.
Use nontoxic paint and glue in this project, and make sure that kids do not swallow them.
