How to Make Internet Connectivity Faster on a Mac
There is not a singular change that you can make to your Mac to significantly increase Internet speed, but there are a number of small adjustments that will noticeably affect the speed at which your Mac is able to connect and browse the Web. Safari is the default Web browser for Mac computers. Adjusting Safari's settings can help improve a Mac's Internet speed and performance.

Reset Safari

Click the "Safari" icon in your dock to open the browser.

Click the "Safari" menu at the top of your page.

Click "Reset Safari" and select "OK." This clears the browser's history.
Erase Favicons

Click on your computer's driver icon on your desktop.

Click on your user folder.

Navigate to "Library," "Safari" and "Icons."

Select "COMMAND" and "A" to select all the icons.

Right-click and select "Delete." You now have deleted favicons, which are small Web page icons that take up hard disk space.
Delete the Preferences File

Quit Safari by clicking on the Safari icon and selecting "COMMAND" and "Q."

Click on your computer's driver icon on your desktop. Then click on your user folder.

Navigate to the "Library" and "Preferences" folders.

Right-click on the "com.apple.Safari.plist" item and select "Delete" to increase Internet connectivity.
