Draw a box in the center of the cardboard measuring 6 centimeters by 6 centimeters.

    • 2

Draw a line that bisects the center of the box horizontally and measures 20 centimeters.

    • 3

Draw another line that bisects the center of the box vertically and measures 20 centimeters.

    • 4

Draw an oval shape around the horizontal line that starts at the beginning of the line and tapers at the end of the line.

    • 5

Repeat the step above, drawing a long oval around the vertical line. The sides of both ovals should be in line with the sides of the center box, so you have a rounded cross.

    • 6

Draw a circular nub at the top and bottom of the vertical oval. Make sure the nubs measure the same size. You may want to use a circular item, such as a quarter or a compass to be sure the circular nubs are the same size.

    • 7

Measure the width of the circles and cut two horizontal rectangles measuring as wide as the circles and one-half centimeter tall on the near the outside edges of the horizontal oval.

    • 8

Cut out the entire rounded cross shape.

    • 9

Bring the two nubs together to the center and fold them both so they are facing upwards.

    • 10

Bring both side of the horizontal oval together and insert the nubs through both slots to secure the jewellery box.

Tips & Warnings

  • To make the box even more secure, fold the nubs down to either side after inserted through the slots.

  • Always exercise caution when using scissors.
