How to Find Hotmail Address of a Person for Free
Hotmail is a free, Web-based email system part of the Windows Live group, commonly used due to its quick, reliable and easy-to-use interface. There is a social networking element to the Windows Live site called Spaces that allows you to link up to other users and find their Hotmail address. As long as you are a Windows Live member, you can browse this directory and add people and their email address to your Hotmail contact list.

Log in to Hotmail and navigate to your Profile page.

Enter the name of the person you are searching for in the 'Search contacts and more' text field on the right. Click the magnifying glass icon. A list of users will appear that match your search criteria.

Click on the names to view their Spaces profile. It helps if you know more about a person than their name--such as where they live or what they do for a living--so you can distinguish the right person you're looking for as not all members have a photograph on their profile.

To view the member's email address you have selected, click the 'Details' link on the left hand menu.

Click the email address and you will be redirected to Hotmail where you can directly email the person and add them to your contact list. Alternatively, click 'Add as a friend' located to the bottom right of the profile photo.

Some members have privacy settings that don't allow other people to view their email address.
