How to Draw a Zebra Face
Zebras are black and white striped mammals that closely resemble horses. Drawing a zebra's face isn't difficult as long as you concentrate on each section before moving on to the next. The shape of the head is the most important part to get right, because the details are quite simple and can be adjusted or changed easier. Observe photos of zebras from all different angles to get a good visual sense of the long shape of the head.

1
Sketch the outline of the zebra's head on a piece of drawing paper with a pencil. The face should be long like a horse's, roughly resembling a rectangle with rounded edges. The ears that protrude from the top of the head should be elongated triangles.
-
2
Add the facial features. The eyes should be round and completely darkened in with the side of your pencil, but leave a small crescent shape within the eye white to act as a reflection mark. The nostrils should flare slightly upward.

3
Add a tuft of hair from in between the zebra's ears. Each hair should stick out in a straight line, as opposed to being wavy or curly.
-
4
Add in the zebra's stripes. The stripes begin in a diamond shape on the zebra's forehead and become straight lines down the top of the nose. The sides of the zebra's face should have stripes that go with the shape of the cheek, horizontally. The stripes should be thick enough that half of the face is white and half is black.

5
Remove any smudges or incorrect lines with an eraser.
