How to Convert Money to a Foreign Currency
You may need to convert money into a foreign currency for a scheduled vacation or other travel reason. It is important to have local currency when you arrive at your destination, especially during the off hours when banks are closed. There are a variety of places to exchange your money, but the rates of exchange can vary. You may get the most for your money in the country that you are traveling to. Exchanging your money at an airport may be more expensive. It also is easy to convert money into another currency while in your home country.

Check the exchange rates for the country that you are visiting. Use an online currency exchange converter, like OnlineFX, to get an idea of what the rate is even though it changes throughout the day. Online exchange converters are free to use.

Go to your local bank to exchange the money. This is probably the simplest method of getting foreign currency. If your bank does not offer this service, then go to a larger commercial bank, which is more likely to exchange money.
