How to Make a Turkey Blind
Turkey blinds are used on the ground to conceal or hide the silhouette of the hunter from being seen by the bird. Turkey blinds can come in many designs that are available for purchase out of catalogs and online. However, you can save money by making your own turkey blind that you can set up and take down quickly during each hunting trip.

Instructions

1
Roll out the camouflage netting on the ground. Measure and cut the netting with a scissors to get a piece that is 3 feet high by 8 feet long. This will be the size of the blind that you will crouch behind while hunting.
-
2
Measure the diameter of the metal poles with the tape measure or ruler and add 1 ½ inches to the measurement. Transfer the measurement to the netting from Step 1 and cut a single strip off of one end with the scissors.

-
3
Place a metal pole on one edge of the netting. Fold the edge of the netting over the pole to create a loop and the use pins to hold the netting in place. Remove the metal pole from the netting.
-
4
Remove each pin and attach hook and loop fasteners to secure the edges together. Alternatively, you can sew the edge of the fabric with thread using a needle or a sewing machine.
-
5
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 to create a loop for a metal pole on the other edge of the netting.
-
6
Measure the length of the netting and find the center point. Place the piece of netting that you cut in Step 3 at the center location.
-
7
Attach the strip of netting with the hook and loop fasteners. A needle and thread or sewing machine can also be used to attach the strip of netting. This will create a third loop for a metal pole.
-
8
Insert the metal poles into the loops and then push each metal pole into the ground to see how the blind will look.
