How to Make a 3GP Movie Conversion's Picture Better

The lightweight, highly compressed 3GP format is optimized for use on mobile devices and for distribution across the web. And while the format is designed to reach a happy medium between picture quality and file compression, there are times when a small file size must be compromised in order to get a bet picture. 1. Try a different video codec to use for your 3GP file. 3GP files act as containers for audio/video content and by switching the video codec the 3GP container uses to compress your media, you may improve your output video's quality. Instead of using the standard MP4-part 14 video codec to create 3GP files, try using the more advanced H.264 format.

2. Lower the audio bitrate slightly if you can spare the quality loss. Decreasing the quality of your 3GP movie's audio stream provides you with more room to raise the video stream's quality and helps offset any increases in file size due to the video quality increase.

3. Raise the output file's frames per second to fix video choppiness. Increase the video's bitrate to provide more video bandwidth and create a higher resolution 3GP file. Also remove any scaling options your video converter may have in place to keep the video original aspect ratio and avoid screen cropping or unnecessary compression.
